Meet the team at South East Massage & Myotherapy
Emma - Myotherapist
Emma has a love for the anatomy and self care of the body, as part of her dancing career. This has lead her down the path of becoming a Myotherapist which has now become her career. Emma completed her Advance diploma of Myotherapy in 2019 at VFA learning; post graduating Victoria University where she completed her diploma of Remedial Massage.
With the use of many manual techniques incorporated into her treatments she will aim to improves function and movement in a positive manner.
Outside of work you will see her participate in dancing, enjoying the sunshine and spending time with her family and dog! Emma is continuing her education with completing Module 1 of oncology massage.
Bec - Myotherapist
Bec has been working as a myotherapist since she graduated in 2007. Bec has a keen interest in sport and sports injuries after spending a large part of her life playing a high level of basketball before an injury to her knee put an end to that.
Bec’s favourite area to treat is neck and shoulders especially when related to headaches and migraines.
Bec is competent in using all Myotherapy modalities to help treat including dry needling, cupping, a range of massage techniques, lymphatic drainage and pregnancy massage.
Away from work Bec enjoys spending time with her son and family exploring the outdoors.
Jackie - Remedial Massage Therapist
Jackie is a qualified Massage and Beauty Therapist with 14 years experience. She has a passion for helping clients with their muskuloskeletal issues and natural beauty.
Seeing an increase in clients developing issues that were beyond what relaxation massage could help with, she decided to pursue a Diploma of Remedial Massage Qualification in order to help her clients improve their movement quality and reduce their pain.
Previous injury and reoccurring back, neck and shoulder issues drove her desire to help others.
Now a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist, Jackie works closely with each client individually to ensure they have the most effective treatment plan in order to reach their health and fitness goals.
She has been married for 5 years and has 2 beautiful children. She loves being active, taking her family to the beach and chilling with a good book and a coffee (or wine!)
Agra - Remedial Massage Therapist
Agra is a Remedial Massage Therapist, who is dedicated to help people optimise their body functions and reduce movement restrictions in order to make their lives better and healthier.
Agra can offer her clients deep tissue massage, lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, trigger point release and relaxation massage.
Agra holds a Diploma of Remedial Massage, Certificate in Sports Training and Certificate IV in Pathology. She has also completed overseas studies related to health sector, namely Diploma in Physiotherapy & Diploma in Acupuncture, and continue to undergo training to learn new techniques and methods of treating clients.
Agra has been with SEMM as a Remedial Massage Therapist since 2018 and find it very rewarding being able to help people to feel great.
Amy - Remedial Massage Therapist
Amy is a qualified a Remedial Massage Therapist who has a keen interest in deep tissue massage, postural correction, preventative and rehabilitative therapy and educating clients about self care.
She finds it gratifying to be able help people with their health and treating their conditions whether it be chronic or acute. Amy strongly believes that through massage not only are there physical health benefits but also emotional healing.
Amy is currently undertaking my Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy, due to finish at the end of 2019.
In her spare time, she spends as much time as she can with my family and enjoys running, baking, reading and eating!
